MAIT Industries (“MAIT”) TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The following are the terms, conditions and policies relating to trading with MAIT, unless MAIT confirms otherwise in writing.
- Standard payment terms are 30 days from the date of invoice. MAIT reserves the right to apply a 5% charge to accounts outstanding beyond these terms. This is calculated on the total owing, and is a monthly charge although calculated daily. If a customer is advised, in writing, of this amount owing it is considered due and any payment not including this charge will be considered a short payment.
- Should your account be passed on for collection, any costs associated (including but not limited to disbursements, solicitor fees, debt collector fees and out-of-pocket expenses) will be considered the liability of the customer.
- Any claim against the company must be made within 7 days of receiving goods, and must be in writing to clearly show the reason for the claim.
- Automatic credit limit of $3000.00. In the case of new agents, credit applications and references may be required for an account above this limit
- Goods returned for credit will be subject to a restocking charge and will be accepted only if received in original condition. Restocking charges may amount to 20% of the item price.
- Acceptance of delivery of goods does not constitute an agreement to issue a credit. A credit note will only be issued once the goods are inspected and are found to be satisfactory in the opinion of MAIT, and comply with the following:
The following goods cannot be returned for credit:
a) Any product or equipment custom made and not a part of standard stock items
b) Any goods altered or treated by or for the purchaser
c) Any goods damaged by the purchaser
d) Any goods received by MAIT more than 60 days past the date of the purchase order or invoice - All goods remain the property of MAIT until such time as the customer makes full payment against them. In the event of unpaid invoices for goods, MAIT reserves the right to retrieve items from the customer, upon its written intention to do so. In the event the customer sells a product or goods belonging to MAIT it agrees to forward payment to MAIT immediately upon receipt from its customer.
- In the event the customer’s business name, trading structure or owners change it will notify MAIT prior to the change where possible. Where not possible, it is assumed that any new owner or structure will support the terms of trade stipulated by MAIT, unless otherwise agreed with those new owners.
- The terms, conditions and policies stated herein are subject to change without notice. Should a change be made, subsequent invoices will contain a copy.
- MAIT is not liable for any loss or damage to goods in transit unless carried in MAIT’s own vehicles.
- Any description or use of the word ‘goods’ in this document is for description only, and implies any and all product that MAIT may sell.
- All intellectual property maintained in the MAIT products, service and trade remains exclusively the property of MAIT and may not be copied by any other party without the express written permission of MAIT
